Parklane, a Luxury Collection Resort is treating itself to a facelift. The hotel, situated on the beachfront just a short distance from Limassol in Cyprus, closes its doors this winter to enjoy a spruce up. Whether it’s to catch signs of wear and tear before they hit, to add the latest technology, or to simply offer something a bit different – whatever the reason, we are loving the sound of this new luxury resort. Here’s what you can expect from the brand-new Parklane…
Harrods interiors designed Parklane’s new suites and rooms – need we say more? The 53 gorgeous suites will each come with their own private pool, while the 222 rooms will have it spot on when it comes to combining home comforts with luxury (think covetable furnishings with slick, modern facilities).
Rooms come with a choice of sea or mountain views. The views of the Mediterranean Sea are an obviously great choice, though the mountain views aren’t any old mountain views – these are the spectacular Troodos Mountains.
Parklane welcomes the Kalloni Spa, which spans 3,000 square metres and includes a thalassotherapy programme with two outdoor and indoor pools. Spa lovers can enjoy 12 treatments and three suites, two with Russian banya (sauna). We’re feeling relaxed just thinking about it…
Come dine with me
Fish and seafood is a pretty big deal here. So much so, that they’re adding an entire restaurant dedicated to it. Fish lovers will be in their element as they dine al fresco in small ‘islands’ floating in the pool. Each dining area (the islands) is named after a Mediterranean island. For a more casual affair, take a break from the sun at the 3B Eats and Drinks, situated by the pool.
Lanes Grill Room and Dafne Restaurants are perfect for dinner in the evenings, but save at least one evening for the BDL Food and Wine Show – here you can expect themed dinners as well as an à la carte menu.
Shiny new spaces
Modern facilities slot beautifully into lush garden landscapes – paths and terraces are shaded by olive, citrus and palm trees. There’ll be quiet spots in outside dining areas, and three swimming pools for family fun. Comfy sun loungers and cabanas will line the pools and all face the curved stretch of beach.
Adults have their spa and seafood menu – but what about younger guests? The Princess & The Pirate Kids’ Park will span an impressive 3,000 square metres, the kids’ play area will come complete with a themed castle for all those princesses (and knights!), plus there’ll be a pirate ship with waterslides, mini football pitch and games room.
Will we be seeing you here in 2018?
